WHAT YOU WILL HEAR

Danielle Walker was 22-years-old when she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and found herself in the ER. She was on lots of different medications which caused debilitating side effects and multiple hospital trips. It wasn’t until she hit a breaking point and decided to make a choice between food and medicine. This is Danielle’s story of being on the other side of an auto-immune disease.

Danielle Walker is the founder of Against All Grain, a food blog for paleo and grain-free recipes. We’re a big fan of her cookbooks here in the Ivey house, and it was so inspiring hearing about her healing journey. She walks us through her newest book, Food Saved Me and shares that after finding a food system that worked, she saw a drastic change within 48 hours – something that her medication was never able to accomplish. This process eventually lead to her starting a blog and creating recipes to share with others! Although it hasn’t been a perfect journey, it is one that has given her so much more freedom from chronic illness. Make sure to check out Danielle’s incredible cookbooks, and her recent release Food Saved Me.
