WHAT YOU WILL HEAR
In 2012, Desiree stumbled on a show that her roommate was watching. She found the premise to be so interesting, and sarcastically applied to be on it. Not only was her application accepted, but it also led her to becoming the lead. The show is ABC’s hit reality series The Bachelorette. This is Desiree’s story of being on the other side of bachelor nation.
Today, Desiree is married to the man she chose on the Bachelorette and they have two children together. In this episode, Desiree shares about what led her to the show and how ironic it is that, as someone who never wanted to be in the spotlight, she ended up as the lead. She talks about some of the challenges she faced and although she felt confident going in, the constant criticism made her feel lost in her identity. There’s so much that we don’t see behind the scenes, and it’s easy to think we have someone figured out based on what we see on our screens. Desiree overcame a lot to find her purpose again and be confident and where God placed her.
